Claudia Orange is a research associate at Te Papa Tongarewa. She was General Editor of the award-winning Dictionary of New Zealand Biography and author of BWB’s best-selling Treaty of Waitangi. In 2021, Dame Claudia was awarded the Prime Minister’s Award for Literary Achievement (Non-fiction).

Prof Barbara Brookes at the University of Otago is author of the award-winning History of New Zealand Women, which won the Illustrated Non-Fiction category of the Ockham New Zealand Book Awards.

Dr Vincent O’Malley is a founding partner of HistoryWorks, a group of historians specialising in Treaty of Waitangi research. His recent book Voices From the New Zealand Wars | He Reo nō ngā Pakanga o Aotearoa (2021) was awarded the General Non-Fiction Prize at the 2022 Ockham New Zealand Book Awards.
